# Welcome to Model Diplomat

> The AI research and learning platform for global politics, diplomacy, and Model UN

Model Diplomat is the AI platform for understanding global politics. Our mission is simple: make sure informed citizens can actually understand what's happening in the world — the history, the actors, the power moves, the receipts — and put that understanding to use.

The primary product is **Atlas**, an AI search engine focused exclusively on global politics and diplomacy. Around Atlas we've built four companion products: **Discover** (daily news), **Learn** (courses), **Simulations** (roleplay), and **Briefings** (email delivery).

## What Atlas is

Atlas is an AI search engine built on top of the UN Digital Library, government sources, and curated political datasets — paired with domain-specific prompts, fine-tuning, and live research tools. Ask a question about global politics and Atlas gives you an answer deep enough to act on: write a speech, brief a team, debate in committee, or just understand the situation well enough to form a real opinion.

Popular use cases:

* **MUN research** — country positions, committee histories, bloc dynamics, resolution analysis
* **Speech and paper drafting** — opening speeches, position papers, resolutions, policy briefs, all inside the platform
* **Current affairs depth** — Gaza, Ukraine, Taiwan, Sudan, elections — history, context, actors, timelines
* **Policy and IR study** — treaties, sanctions, international law, institutional analysis

## What Atlas is not

Atlas is **not a general-purpose AI assistant**. It won't help you with coding, financial modeling, recipe planning, or homework outside politics and diplomacy. That's intentional — being narrow is what lets Atlas be deep. If you need a generalist tool, use ChatGPT or Claude. If you need to deeply understand the Middle East crisis, the Security Council, or how the EU actually works, use Atlas.

Model Diplomat is free to start. Paid tiers (Pro, Diplomat, Enterprise) unlock more usage, frontier models, and **Deep Research** — multi-agent deep dives that run across hundreds of domains and can take up to 15 minutes to produce work that would otherwise take hours of manual research.
